The Adams County Citizens Academy is a community-based program for the citizens of Adams County. This is a way for the citizens of our community to gain a better understanding of how law enforcement works and meet the deputies of the Sheriff’s Office who serve the community.

The Citizens Academy fosters a stronger relationship with the Sheriff's Office and community through education in procedures, operations, and management of all divisions.

Participants of the academy will also have the opportunity to train with police equipment, observe demonstrations, learn about sensitive crimes, drug investigations, building searches, K9s, Defense and Arrest Tactics (DAAT), Tasers, Traffic Stops/ High Risk Traffic Stops, Domestic Violence, and experience a ride-along with a deputy from the Sheriff’s Office.

Our 3rd Citizens Academy will be held April 26 - June 14, 2018 (Thursdays from 6 pm - 9 pm)   Apply today!  Applications must be received by April 16, 2018, to be considered for this class.
